Solid Product but Room for Improvement

I purchased this mounting bracket for the obvious reason – to mount my tablet in a convenient location in my car so that I safely and conveniently use the navigation and music player functions of my tablet. I have a 54 mile commute each way every day, and this is far safer than steering with your knees and looking down. The tablet now sits in arms reach and only a few degrees of viewing angle away from the forward direction.

Pros – Holds your tablet at a convenient angle so you can keep 1+ hands on the wheel. Bolts to the seat bracket – no need to drill holes in your car. Spring loaded clamping mechanism truly fits any device in or out of a case. Extra brackets are included for alternate mounting scenarios, and additional clamp faces are included for smaller tablets. Extra cable included to extend the reach of your charger adapter.

Cons – The long shaft means that it will wobble considerably, making it hard to focus. The manufacturer should consider including a strap of some kind to connect to the clamp to brace it and eliminate vibration. (I made my own.)

Other Thoughts – This really is the only product I’ve seen on the market suitable for vehicle mounting tablets, so really you can’t go wrong. The manufacturer put sufficient thought into this, but there is room for improvement. A back-strap to dampen vibration would be a good idea. If they could integrate a USB pass through cable into the shaft for charging,it would clean the look up considerably.

The only problem i had is that i cannot mount it on my Nissan Altima 2008 due to the passenger’s seat wont support it. The screw is tucked under the seat and the bottom metal part of the product is too tall…So i cant use it with my car.

I wish i had more information on the dimensions. But in all fairness the quality is good and the permanent alternative option is to drill and mount it on the cars floor.

Works well. My g6 doesnt have ordinary seat bolts. I found a nice place to mount it. On my g6 there is a bolt on the passenger side of the center console near the dash. Was low enough to mount without being to tall. I just unscrewed the bolt and used a longer one ( i just happened to have one handy ). It doesnt shake to much. The stand holds my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 great! It feels very secure. The only addition i coukd ask for is some sort of cord management system. Maybe include an aux cable and a power cord through the neck. Overall 5/5 will recommend to others. Thanks

I like this little set up! The only reason for 4 stars is because the mounting options are limited. I don’t have an accessible bolt on my seat and had to improvise. Once I did though, it worked great!

Product as advised. Works like a champ. Only real complaint is the fact that it needs something to secure it. Has a tendency to shake with vibration through its still visible. Would recommend purchase.
